Job Description
DWP is seeking a dedicated Executive Officer to join their team as a Work Coach in Carlisle. This permanent, full-time role involves providing support to customers claiming Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseekers Allowance, and Income Support. Work Coaches offer quality advice on job search actions, support customers in their job search, and match them to suitable vacancies. The role requires building positive relationships, developing an in-depth knowledge of local employment opportunities, and making timely decisions based on customer needs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Customer-focused and able to deliver exceptional service with empathy and compassion
  • Sound judgement to help people through challenging times
  • Ability to provide tailored coaching to support customers in finding, staying in, and progressing in a job
  • Strong communication skills for face-to-face, digital, and telephone contact
  • Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 to ensure customers get additional support and advice

Compensation
Salary: £29,500 per year
