About the Role
This full-time, permanent role sits at the heart of Flintshire CAMHS, supporting school-aged children and adolescents through mental health assessments, play-based interventions, and therapeutic work. You’ll be based at Catherine Gladstone House, with regular outreach across Wrexham and Flintshire. The work’s varied and meaningful—from one-on-one support to contributing to early intervention initiatives in the community.
Working closely under the supervision of a clinical psychologist, you’ll plan sessions, assist in assessments, and help implement care programmes. There’s also the chance to contribute to university-level research and placements with Bangor University’s Clinical Psychology Programme. It’s hands-on, human-centred, and incredibly rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clinical psychologists with psychological services across the region
- Plan and manage own tasks with guidance from senior colleagues
- Undertake therapeutic assessments with children and families
- Support implementation of care plans
- Participate in ongoing research and university-based teaching
- Work in line with ethical and professional standards
