Requirements

• BPS accredited degree in Psychology with GBC eligibility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and listen deeply
• Previous mental health experience in care, volunteering, or placements

Salary Details

You’ll earn between £27,485 and £30,162, depending on experience, on a full-time basis under Agenda for Change Band 5. This is a fixed-term role with deep learning potential built in.

About the Role

There are two positions on offer. One sits within Whitlingham Ward, supporting women in a blended security setting. The other is with Drayton Ward, a medium secure service for men. In both roles, you’ll be working closely with a ward-based psychologist and the wider Secure Services Psychology Team. You’ll support assessments, co-facilitate therapy groups, and help staff develop psychologically informed approaches. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver psychological assessments that support treatment plans and recovery
• Co-facilitate therapeutic group work focused on skill-building and reflection
• Develop behaviour support strategies that improve day-to-day ward life
• Contribute to psychological formulations used by the multidisciplinary team
• Learn about offence-specific models to support forensic insight
• Support people experiencing complex diagnoses such as psychosis or personality disorder
