Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is hiring an Assistant Psychologist to join the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service (CNRS), supporting individuals recovering from stroke or living with neurological conditions. This is a meaningful role for psychology graduates ready to gain hands-on experience in neuropsychology and mental health, under the supervision of qualified clinical psychologists. Key Responsibilities:

What You’ll Need:

  • Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society
  • Strong understanding of psychology applied to healthcare and neuro conditions
  • Clear, empathetic communication skills in sensitive clinical settings
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health issues or health-related disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with healthcare professionals

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Familiarity with neuropsychological assessments
  • Experience in stroke or neurorehabilitation settings
  • Understanding of neuropsychology and applied psychological practices
  • Clean Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have Occupational Health clearance
  • Must be a car owner/driver with access to a vehicle for work
