Salary Details

The offered range is 33,094 to 36,195 per year, depending on experience. You’ll also benefit from NHS pensions, annual leave, and further training opportunities as part of the Supportive work environment.

About the Role

This is your chance to step into meaningful, impactful work. As an Assistant Research Practitioner, you’ll support the neurology team across several NIHR research projects. From screening patients and handling consent to managing data and liaising with clinical staff, your work directly improves how patients are cared for today and researched for tomorrow.

You’ll become part of a team pioneering clinical trials for life-altering conditions like Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, and Motor Neurone Disease. Your day-to-day will blend research precision with patient interaction — ideal if you’re passionate about the bridge between medicine and human connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen referred patients to assess eligibility and provide study information
  • Obtain patient consent for observational studies in outpatient clinics
  • Enter accurate data into study-specific clinical databases
  • Collaborate with medical and academic staff in delivering research goals
  • Coordinate administrative and logistical tasks within the research office
  • Raise public and patient awareness of clinical trials and their benefits
