Job Description
Zopa is seeking an Associate Application Security Engineer to join its growing AppSec team in London. This role will include engagement with business stakeholders, primarily inside engineering; partnering with specific product areas like Mobile App, Current Accounts, Data Engineering and Analytics, and Platform + Site Reliability; supporting such teams in developing their secure building practice expertise; design reviewing against new service introductions; and testing.
It provides pairing and shadowing of existing team members, with opportunities for autonomous working and skill development.
Skills and Qualifications
- Good communication skills, particularly in communicating with non-technical stakeholders
- Some technical experience—not necessarily security-related
- Interest in reading about and keeping up with security trends
- Interest in wider industry and security news
- Desire to learn
Desirable Qualifications:
- Security-related experience
- Experience in software engineering
