Requirements

Salary Details

This Band 4 role offers 27485 to 30162 yearly with unsocial hours payments included when applicable.

About the Role

You’ll support biomedical scientists in a busy Blood Sciences department that runs around the clock. It’s a practical role where each step you take helps clinicians make time sensitive decisions.
Your day will involve receiving samples, checking they meet acceptance standards and preparing them for analysis. You’ll handle centrifugation, pipetting and analyser setup while keeping a close eye on accuracy. You’ll also help train support staff, which can feel rewarding when you see them gain confidence.
The service deals with core tests, urgent cases and specialised work across the region, so you’ll see a wide mix of samples. If you like roles where routine and responsibility sit side by side, you may find this work surprisingly satisfying.

Key Responsibilities
