Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 Childcare Qualification
- Experience working in a nursery setting
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Salary Details
This position offers a salary of £28,166 per annum, inclusive of the High-Cost Area Supplement (HCAS).
About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality childcare to children aged 6 months to 5 years. You’ll ensure the children are nurtured in a safe, stimulating, and caring environment. Responsibilities include working with a team to meet the needs of individual children, supporting their development, and engaging in a range of activities that promote learning and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the nursery team to support children’s development
- Maintain a safe and stimulating environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Ensure that EYFS standards are met
- Adapt to changing shifts and cover different sites if required
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) due to its involvement with children. Any previous criminal convictions must be disclosed under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
