Requirements
- Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- IELTS level 7 for international applicants
- Comfortable with caseload management and using the OT process
- Open to new graduates or those returning to practice
- Passion for impactful work within a fast-paced NHS setting
- Effective communicator and team player
- Motivated learner with strong prioritisation skills
- Willingness to support environmental sustainability initiatives
Salary Details
Starting from £29,970 and progressing to £36,483 per year, depending on experience
About the Role
This Band 5 Occupational Therapist role is a chance to develop your clinical skills in a place where you’re backed every step of the way. Whether you’re a newly qualified therapist or returning after time away, they’ll help you get up to speed with a structured induction, one-on-one mentorship, and a dedicated learning plan.
You’ll work within a lively, multidisciplinary team that’s always evolving to meet the needs of patients. Every day is different — from managing complex cases to helping shape service improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored occupational therapy assessments and treatments that make a difference to patient outcomes
- Work closely with nurses, doctors, and other allied health professionals to offer joined-up care
- Contribute to service improvement projects that enhance therapy delivery
- Maintain clear, accurate records and uphold best practices
- Take part in regular training sessions and peer reviews to keep your skills sharp
- Stay aligned with HCPC standards and the Trust’s values of Safe, Kind, Excellent
- Support patients through complex discharge planning processes when required
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role will require a DBS check as it’s exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975. The Trust will guide you through the process.
