Requirements:

They’re looking for a motivated and committed individual to join their community midwifery team in Boston. Prior experience as a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker, especially in Maternity, Neonatal, or Paediatric services, would be ideal.   • An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential. (They’ll need to see your certificate).

  • A full UK driving license and access to a car are essential.

About the Role:

As a Maternity Support Worker in the Boston Community Midwifery Team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting new and expectant mothers. You’ll be working alongside registered midwives and medical practitioners, providing direct care and assisting with various tasks. You’ll also help empower women by offering advice on smoking cessation, healthy eating, and breastfeeding. The role involves some weekend work (usually one weekend a month), allowing you to contribute to a vital service and make a real difference in the lives of families in your community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support registered midwives and medical practitioners.
  • Provide direct care to women using maternity services.
  • Carry out a range of duties, including clinical tasks (following training and assessment).
  • Offer advice on smoking cessation, healthy eating, and breastfeeding.
  • Work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
