Requirements
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Promoting Independence or equivalent
- PGC in Applied Behaviour Analysis or BTECH Level 3 in Positive Behaviour Support
- Direct experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
- Strong values around dignity, community care, and behavioural support principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collect and log observational data using spreadsheets
- Must be calm in crisis situations and work well solo or in a team
- Welsh language skills are a bonus, but not essential

£26,928 – £29,551 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

This role is for someone ready to step up and support people with learning disabilities during their most challenging moments. As a Behavioural Support Worker, you’ll offer hands-on crisis support across home and community settings in Llanfairfechan. Every day is different. You’ll be implementing structured routines, collecting data, encouraging independence, and helping individuals live richer lives, with dignity and respect.
Expect to work closely with Behaviour Analysts, contribute to real-world interventions, and support others by transferring skills and protocols that work. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on care across personal needs, leisure, and community engagement
- Prevent or manage crisis situations linked to challenging behaviours
- Support structured activity schedules and teaching plans
- Collect outcome data and contribute to assessment processes
- Work with clients in their homes or community environments
- Provide respectful and rights-based support at all times
- Drive service user vehicles, pool cars, or your own vehicle
