Requirements

  • A BMS degree or equivalent in Biomedical Science
  • HCPC registration or willingness to register under Annex 21 while training
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety standards in laboratory settings
  • Knowledge of quality control and assurance procedures
  • Solid grasp of both automated and manual laboratory investigations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for team-based environments
  • Eagerness to keep learning through CPD and IBMS Specialist Portfolio completion
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet service needs

Salary Details

Starting salary between £31,516 and £38,364 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Includes NHS pension and full access to professional training and learning resources.

About the Role

As a Biomedical Scientist (Immunology), you’ll play a key role in diagnosing and monitoring conditions through high-quality immunology testing. Working within a UKAS-accredited and IBMS-approved department, you’ll join a skilled, friendly team dedicated to innovation and continuous improvement.

Whether you’re newly qualified or already HCPC registered, this role gives you hands-on experience in both automated and manual immunology processes, shaping your technical expertise while supporting patient wellbeing across the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out immunology tests using both automated and manual methods to ensure reliable diagnostic outcomes
