Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
- BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification
- Completed IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Clinical Chemistry or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years of hands on experience as a Biomedical Scientist
- Demonstrated flexibility performing multiple tasks under pressure
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and CPD

This position sits at the heart of the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Hub in London delivering high quality screening services to over nine million people. As a specialist in clinical chemistry, you’ll analyse FIT samples and troubleshoot instrument errors with precision.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret FIT samples as part of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme
- Troubleshoot and maintain clinical chemistry instruments with attention to detail
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth lab operations
- Support training and supervision within the lab team
- Contribute to quality assurance and UKAS ISO 15189 compliance
- Maintain accurate records in electronic systems and report findings promptly
