About the Role:
Liverpool John Moores University International Study Centre is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business & Economics Tutor to join the team. The role involves teaching Business modules to international students on university preparation programs. The tutor will inspire and motivate students, deliver high-quality teaching, and undertake pastoral responsibilities. This role requires a performance-driven, cooperative, and flexible professional who can collaborate effectively within the centre and its network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching to international students, ensuring compliance with quality standards and processes.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.
- Teach up to 25 hours per week across various Business pathway modules.
- Implement curriculum enhancement and enrichment activities, ensuring student punctuality, attendance, and appropriate behavior.
- Promote the creative use of Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) and maintain Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) standards.
- Create and update teaching materials, and prepare mid and end-of-term student reports.
About You:
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.
- Desirable: Relevant teaching qualification.
- Essential: Substantial hands-on teaching experience, ideally with international students on university preparation courses up to degree level.
- Essential: Experience developing and updating teaching materials for blended learning and working with a Virtual Learning Environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
