About the Role
This is not just a job, it’s a journey. Two successful applicants will join as trainee practitioners under the Recruit to Train programme, balancing hands-on clinical practice with academic learning at UCL. You’ll spend part of your week delivering CBT-informed interventions to children, young people, and families, then step into the classroom to deepen your knowledge.
The role sits within Islington CAMHS, a well-established multi-disciplinary service that works with children across the 0–18 age range. Every task connects to improving outcomes for young people, from early intervention through to specialist therapy. It’s a chance to grow skills while making a tangible impact in communities where the need is high.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver CBT-informed interventions that build resilience in young people
- Engage families in treatment to strengthen outcomes beyond the clinic
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic support
- Attend structured training at UCL and apply new skills directly in practice
- Use outcome measures to guide progress and evidence clinical impact
- Contribute to early intervention projects that shape the future of CAMHS services

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
