Requirements
- Level 2 literacy, numeracy and IT skills or equivalent, with a willingness to keep learning
- Paid or voluntary care experience with children, young people or adults, including experience of learning disabilities or special educational needs
- Awareness of health and safety, with the ability to follow company procedures
- Risk assessment skills to safeguard clients and colleagues
- Empathy, respect and cultural sensitivity in every interaction
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices for children, young people and adults
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car for travel between visits
Desired qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Caring for Vulnerable Adults
- Additional training such as safeguarding, food hygiene or behaviour management
Salary Details
This role offers £12.21 per hour, with mileage reimbursement for travel between visits.

As a Care Assistant Home Carer, you’ll be a trusted presence in people’s lives. The work is varied and hands-on, supporting clients of all ages with personal care, mobility, meal preparation and companionship. Key Responsibilities
- Support personal care to maintain dignity and wellbeing
- Provide medication prompts and accurate records to ensure safe treatment
- Aid with mobility and safe moving to protect independence

- Keep homes safe and tidy through light housework and shopping
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation
- Maintain accurate care notes to keep families and professionals informed
- Communicate with healthcare teams and families to ensure co-ordinated care

- Identify risks in the home and act quickly to keep everyone safe
