Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of paid care experience
- UK driving licence and access to a car
- Comfortable travelling between homes
- Strong writing and good communication skills
- Positive, compassionate nature with a hands-on attitude
- Able to work flexibly and independently
- A deep understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
- Keen to learn, grow, and adapt in a supportive team
Salary Details
This is a £13.50/hour role with additional £0.45 per mile for travel expenses. Drivers only.
About the Role
This role is for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference. As a Care Assistant, you’ll help children and adults stay independent in their own homes. It’s a mix of personal care, practical help, and emotional support—always tailored to the person’s unique needs.
You’ll work with real people, facing real challenges, and your presence will give them dignity and reassurance. Whether you’re helping with meals, medications, or simply listening, you’ll be a lifeline in someone’s daily routine. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care like bathing, dressing, and medication support—building comfort and trust
- Provide social care including meal prep, shopping and housekeeping—helping daily life run smoother
- Support independence through outings, appointments and community engagement
- Stay alert to changes in wellbeing and communicate clearly with the team—keeping care safe and responsive
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans—so everyone’s on the same page
- Work closely with families and unpaid carers—because care is a team effort
- Promote respect, dignity and anti-discriminatory practice in all interactions
- Attend training and development—because good care evolves
