About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and reliable Care Support Worker to join the bustling Dermatology team at Harrogate District Hospital. This role offers a chance to work flexibly in a dynamic department, providing direct patient care and supporting both registered nurses and medical staff in clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses
  • Assist in clinics and with surgical procedures according to agreed policies
  • Maintain patients’ dignity and self-respect at all times, ensuring a high standard of care
  • Promote patient safety, effective care, and a positive patient experience throughout the patient journey
  • Assist with the reception of patients, relatives, and visitors to the department
  • Work as an integrated member of the team, demonstrating flexibility and initiative

Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs or equivalent (Essential)
  • At least 1 year of healthcare experience (Desirable)
  • Care Certificate (Desirable)
  • Excellent organisational, time-management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative
  • Strong communication skills and an appreciation of confidentiality principles
  • Openness to change and interest in personal development

Salary Details:
The role offers a competitive salary of £23,615 per annum (pro rata), aligned with the NHS Agenda for Change Band 2 pay scale.
