Requirements

  • Basic Food Hygiene and/or Level 1 Food Safety Certificate (or to be achieved within 6 months of start date)
  • Basic numerate and literate skills
  • Desirable: NVQ Level 1 or 2, GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Experience in cash handling is advantageous

About the Role

The Catering Assistant will be responsible for preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and serving meals to patients, visitors, and staff. Duties include checking food quality and temperature, operating dishwashing machines, and preparing and serving food in various dining areas. The role also involves restocking vending machines and operating the Staff Dining Room cash register.
