Salary Details:
£22,720 per annum, pro rata. The pay rate will increase for all hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays.
About the Role:
As a Catering Assistant at BCUHB, you’ll play a crucial role in providing top-notch catering services to patients and staff. You’ll be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering the best quality food service within the Trust. This role offers a chance to contribute to the well-being of patients and staff through nutritious and appealing meals.
The job involves working in the kitchen and serving food at ward level, requiring excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. You’ll have the opportunity to share best practices and adapt to changing needs, helping to shape and improve catering services over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals to patients and staff
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
- Work collaboratively as part of the catering team
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the catering department
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of catering services
- Adapt to changing shift patterns and weekend work as required
Working Hours:
The role primarily involves shifts between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, over 5 days on a flexible rotation. This includes some weekend work and various shift patterns. You can expect more late shifts than early shifts.
