Requirements

  • Professional qualification and UK registration in Social Care, Nursing, Mental Health, or another relevant health field
  • Experience supporting clients with emotional, social, or mental health needs, ideally including children and families
  • Proven leadership and staff management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
  • Strong partnership working skills with professionals across agencies
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload
  • Ability to travel within the region

This post is offered at Band 7, Agenda for Change, with a salary of £47,810 to £54,710 per annum pro rata.

About the Role

This is a chance to shape a specialist service that changes lives. As Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Pathway Team Manager, you’ll guide a dedicated multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatment pathways tailored to young people’s needs. You’ll balance hands-on leadership with direct clinical practice, creating a safe and effective environment where staff feel supported and young people receive the highest standard of care.

You’ll play a key role in governance and service improvement, ensuring risks are managed and new ideas are brought to life. Every day you’ll see the difference your leadership makes, from a family feeling more hopeful to a young person taking a step forward in recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational management and strong leadership so the team can deliver responsive, evidence-based care
  • Support clinical practice directly, offering guidance and expertise to colleagues
  • Manage recruitment, supervision, and professional development of staff to keep skills and morale high
  • Build partnerships with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure integrated, person-centred care
  • Oversee service governance, risk management, and quality improvement for safe, effective care
  • Deputise for the Service Manager when required, contributing to service planning and improvement initiatives
