Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with a valid UK registration
- Passion for supporting young people’s mental health in clinical and community settings
- Knowledge of child development, psychology, and safeguarding frameworks
- Comfortable working within a multi-agency team on complex cases
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with young people and their families
- Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast-changing service environment
Salary Details
Pay band is aligned to NHS Band 5, with structured increments, full NHS pension, and benefits package.
About the Role
This role is about impact, not just intervention. As a Mental Health Worker within their CYPMHS team, you’ll support children and young people facing emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges. From assessments and care plans to therapeutic sessions, your work will touch every point of their care journey.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive mental health and risk assessments with children and families
- Deliver evidence-based interventions such as CBT or parenting work
- Contribute to care planning and regular review of treatment goals
- Support families in understanding and managing mental health concerns
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, coordinating with schools, GPs, and social care
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding protocols and national legislation
- Keep accurate clinical records and contribute to outcome monitoring
- Promote a positive care experience for each young person
