Requirements

  • Hands-on experience supporting children with complex needs
  • Willing to complete or already holds a Care Certificate
  • UK driving licence is essential
  • Able to work independently with confidence and empathy
  • Comfortable working night shifts in a lone-working environment
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and safe care practices
  • Experience with tracheostomy, gastrostomy or ventilated children is a plus

Salary Details

The salary is £27,485 to £30,162 per year depending on experience. Night and weekend enhancements apply where relevant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out clinical tasks like tracheostomy care, nebuliser use, or enteral feeding
  • Support mobility needs using hoists and other safe handling equipment
  • Administer medication safely and follow care plans precisely
  • Work independently in family homes while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Keep accurate records and relay critical observations to the wider team
  • Engage children through appropriate interaction and emotional care
