Requirements

  • Experience in a similar cleaning or housekeeping role
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH and health and safety rules
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Able to work independently and stay self-motivated
  • Friendly, helpful and open to flexible shift work
  • NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Housekeeping or infection control (nice to have but not essential)

Salary Details

This role pays £8,155 per year for 12.5 hours per week. You’ll also benefit from weekend enhancements and generous annual leave on Agenda for Change terms.

As a Cleaner at Forston Clinic and Marvin House, you’ll help keep healthcare spaces fresh, safe, and welcoming. You’ll be trusted to handle your areas solo, cleaning everything from reception areas to occupational health departments and Waterston Ward.

You’ll rotate on a 2-week schedule that includes evenings and every other weekend. Don’t worry, all training is provided, and you’ll have a team that’s got your back every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean reception areas, toilets, kitchens, and clinic rooms to high hygiene standards
  • Handle vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and emptying bins with attention to detail
  • Support infection control efforts by maintaining clean clinical spaces
  • Keep up with stock levels for cleaning supplies
  • Take pride in your work and help make patients feel welcome and safe
