About the Role

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Healthcare Support Worker to join their dynamic Oncology Outpatients department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the new Dyson Cancer Centre, providing care to adult haematology and oncology patients with cancer and haematological disorders.

As a Clinical Healthcare Support Worker, you’ll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. You’ll assist in patient care and other ward-related duties under the supervision of trained nurses. This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient care under the supervision of trained nurses
  • Carry out routine and additional/extended role duties when trained and assessed as competent
  • Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with nursing colleagues and all members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Work in accordance with the Trust values and hospital policies at all times
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Prioritize own workload effectively
  • Demonstrate a caring approach to patients and relatives
