The Opportunity
An exciting chance has opened up for a passionate Clinical Support Worker to join the Older Persons Assessment Unit (OPAU) at Arrowe Park Hospital. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on providing excellent patient care and wants to make a real difference in the lives of older adults.
About the Role
As a Clinical Support Worker on OPAU, you’ll be part of a dynamic team caring for patients over 74 who may be living with frailty. This 28-bed assessment unit takes a multidisciplinary approach to create the best possible care plans and ensure safe discharges. You’ll work closely with community services and contribute to frailty clinics, making every day varied and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Registered Nurses and other team members in implementing patient care plans
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to older adults
- Contribute to a positive patient experience
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in clerical and domestic duties to maintain a safe environment
What They’re Looking For:
- Level 2 in Care (or equivalent experience with commitment to complete within 18 months)
- Completion of Care Certificate (or willingness to complete upon starting)
- Understanding of when to seek support and advice
- Ability to perform in a busy environment
- Caring, polite, friendly, and self-motivated attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop
