Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Mental Health legislation and CPA principles
- Commitment to person-centred and recovery-focused care
- Ability to drive and travel across a wide area when required
- Team player with the confidence to work independently when needed

Salary Details
Pay Band 5 under the Agenda for Change scheme, offering between £31,049 and £37,796 per year, pro rata.
About the Role
This position is part of the Erewash Older Adult Community Mental Health Team, where you’ll care for older adults with both functional and organic illnesses. You’ll manage a varied caseload and provide holistic, person-centred support to service users and their families.
Your work will include carrying out mental health assessments, risk management plans, and therapeutic interventions. You’ll collaborate closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, local care homes, primary care services, and voluntary partners to ensure continuity and quality of care. Every day, you’ll see the impact of your work reflected in improved wellbeing, trust, and independence for those you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mental health assessments and risk management to support recovery and stability
- Build therapeutic relationships with service users and their families to foster trust and collaboration
- Deliver community-based care for individuals with complex mental health needs
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, effective care
- Administer depot injections and manage caseloads effectively to maintain consistent service delivery
- Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and continuous learning to enhance professional growth
