Requirements

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy – You’re confident with drawing blood and following safety procedures
  • Mental health experience – Ideally from a clinical or care setting
  • Good communication skills – Especially written, for documenting on clinical IT systems like RIO
  • Basic IT literacy – Able to navigate programmes such as Word or Excel
  • Right to work in the UK – Or eligibility for skilled worker sponsorship

Salary Details

About the Role

You’ll support patients with long-term mental health conditions, assist in physical health interventions, and take blood samples as part of routine and specialist care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify patients correctly using their documentation
  • Choose the right venepuncture method depending on the patient
  • Reassure and engage patients during procedures
  • Take accurate and sterile blood samples
  • Label and log samples for timely testing
  • Assist in physical health clinics and document on clinical systems
  • Support therapeutic activities under guidance of a Registered Nurse
