Salary Details

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of 31,081 to 33,665, aligned with NHS Band 4 terms and conditions.

About the Role

As a Continuity of Carer Advocate, you’ll be at the heart of the pregnancy journey—helping families feel supported, informed, and confident. This role is more than clinical; it’s relational. You’ll build bonds with mothers throughout antenatal and postnatal care, often visiting them at home.

You’ll help bridge any gaps, especially for families with complex needs or vulnerabilities. You’ll be an extra set of eyes, ears, and hands, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Occasionally, you’ll also support midwives during birth, making this one of those rare UK job opportunities that blends compassion, autonomy, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support women and families across antenatal and postnatal care
  • Provide continuity of care at home and within the community
  • Build trusting relationships to encourage service engagement
  • Coordinate care with midwives and the broader healthcare team
  • Respond to unique needs of families with vulnerabilities or safeguarding concerns
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to patient planning
  • Grow professionally through mentorship, shadowing, and continuous learning
