Job Description
Protocol Education is seeking recent or soon-to-be Creative Graduates for the role of Creative Graduate Teaching Assistant in various Primary Schools across Hackney. This full-time, contract position starting in September 2024 is perfect for graduates interested in pursuing a career in Primary Education.
Responsibilities include
- Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
- Assisting with classroom management and student supervision.
- Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties such as Autism and ADHD.
- Preparing and organising educational materials.
- Assessing student performance and providing feedback.
Skills and Qualifications
- A degree in a creative subject such as Drama, Music, Theatre, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in working with children and aiding their academic success.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Classroom-based role with potential for outdoor activities.
- May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of educational materials.
- Positions available in schools local to Hackney.
Compensation
- Salary: £85 – £100 per day, in line with permanent staff after 12 weeks.
- All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- Option for the role to become permanent or lead to teacher training opportunities for the best graduates.
