Requirements

  • Significant experience in Crisis Management and Incident Response.
  • Proven leadership in managing technical teams.
  • Strong investigative skills and knowledge of digital forensic techniques.
  • Familiarity with data collection from various sources including endpoints and cloud-based assets.
  • Understanding of malware analysis, network forensics, and memory forensics is an advantage.
  • Experience with SIEMs and EDR/MDR platforms is beneficial.
  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Technical security certifications (e.g., SANS/GIAC, Offensive Security, ISC, ISACA) are a plus.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber security or related fields, with at least 5 years in Incident Response roles.

About the Role
As a Cyber Incident and Crisis Manager, the professional will lead efforts to address complex cyber security incidents, enhancing strategies to minimize risks for future incidents. This role encompasses managing Cyber Incident Response engagements, providing technical expertise, and assisting clients in detecting, analyzing, and recovering from various cyber threats such as ransomware and data breaches. The manager will be responsible for developing realistic incident response scenarios for simulations and tabletop exercises while collaborating with organizations like NCSC and ENISA to enhance frameworks and early warning capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Cyber Incident Response engagements, ensuring effective leadership and expertise.
  • Assist clients in threat detection, analysis, and recovery.
  • Conduct proactive compromise assessments and threat hunting.
  • Develop and implement incident response simulations and exercises.
  • Collaborate with leading bodies to enhance incident response frameworks.
  • Keep up to date with the latest threats and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
