Role Overview
Data Analysts at ONS are expected to:
- Collect, organise, and study data to provide insights.
- Manage, clean, and aggregate data from various sources.
- Use analytical tools for data visualisation and business insights.
- Present clear findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Employ data mining, forecasting, and modelling techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure data quality.
Eligibility & Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Proficient analytical skills using relevant software.
- Ability to source, validate, and interpret data for decision-making.
- Strong communication skills for presenting data clearly.
- Collaborative approach to project work.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold one of the following:
- A 2:1 degree in economics.
- A 2:1 in a social science subject with sufficient research content.
- A 2:2 in a numerate subject with taught statistical content.
