Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in computing, data science, or a relevant field
- Experience maintaining business-critical databases and warehouses
- Strong skills in SQL Server BI, Power BI, ETL, and SSIS
- Proven background in transforming complex data into usable insights
- Able to document processes clearly for team use
- Familiar with pulling data from multiple systems and working in a clinical or NHS setting
Salary Details
This role offers a Band 6 salary starting at £37,338 and rising to £44,962, depending on experience. Includes full NHS benefits and remote work options.
About the Role
You’ll join the Business Intelligence team helping drive real-time insight for patient care and Trust-wide performance. As a Data Warehouse Developer, your role’s all about transforming complex, messy data into streamlined reports and dashboards that drive action.
Using SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI, you’ll support the development of their enterprise-wide data warehouse. You’ll build data pipelines, clean and load datasets, manage performance reporting, and help shape a smarter Trust through timely intelligence. This isn’t about churning numbers. It’s about enabling better decisions that improve care.
Expect variety, support, and the freedom to bring better ideas forward. You’ll be working on national data submissions, supporting clinical teams, and collaborating with analysts and system leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve data warehouse infrastructure for Trust-wide use
- Build automated ETL processes that transform raw data into valuable insights
- Create and manage Power BI reports and dashboards for internal teams
- Work with Information and Clinical Systems teams to meet data needs
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and relevance in all BI solutions
- Contribute to the adoption of a data-driven culture across the organisation
- Support national data submissions and compliance reporting
