In a thrilling NBA semi-final series, the Denver Nuggets have managed to level the score against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nuggets’ victory showcases their resilience and determination, proving that they are not to be underestimated.

On May 12, 2024, the Denver Nuggets, the current NBA champions, achieved a 115-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. This win equalized their Western Conference play-off semi-final series at 2-2.

Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets’ center, contributed significantly to the win, scoring 16 of his 35 points in the final quarter. Teammates Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray also played crucial roles, adding 27 and 19 points respectively.

Despite the Nuggets’ victory, Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves led the overall scoring with a total of 44 points.

Michael Malone, the Nuggets’ coach, praised his team’s spirit, stating, “Never underestimate the heart of a champion.” He further added, “They were quick to write us off, but these guys, we won a championship a year ago.”

The Nuggets, who had lost the first two games of the semi-finals in Denver, led 64-49 at half-time. However, the Timberwolves made a comeback in the final quarter, closing the gap to just six points in the last minute.

In other NBA news, the Indiana Pacers leveled their Eastern Conference play-off semi-final series against the New York Knicks after a decisive 121-89 victory. Tyrese Haliburton stood out with 20 points, leading the Pacers to their win.

Looking ahead, the Atlanta Hawks have secured the first pick in the upcoming 2024 NBA draft. The draft order for the 14 teams that didn’t make the play-offs has been determined by a lottery, with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs following the Hawks.
