Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • Own a fully insured, road-legal vehicle
  • Previous care experience preferred, but not essential if you’re caring by nature
  • Solid communication and listening skills
  • Willingness to travel between service users
  • Reliable and motivated to learn and adapt to varied needs

Salary Details

  • Hourly rate of £12.25
  • Expected 37.5 hours per week
  • Additional hours and emergency shift opportunities available

About the Role

This is a people-first role. You’ll be providing personal care, practical support, and meaningful companionship to people in their homes. Whether it’s helping with meals or attending medical appointments, you’ll make a real difference—every single day. You’ll work mostly in a set local area around Morecambe or Lancaster, but may occasionally be asked to help cover nearby regions. Your rota is discussed upfront, so you know where you stand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful personal care that supports independence and choice
  • Help with daily routines, from getting dressed to meal prep
  • Support with light cleaning to keep living spaces safe and comfortable
  • Offer companionship and emotional support during your visits
  • Help service users attend appointments and stay connected
  • Administer and manage medications safely and accurately
  • Keep detailed, clear records after each visit
  • Flag changes in wellbeing early, so action can be taken quickly
  • Follow company policies to ensure care is safe, legal, and respectful
