Job Overview

Greymate Care Ltd is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Worker to join its team in North Lanarkshire. This role involves providing essential care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals.
• Support with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Help facilitate social activities and appointments.
• Administer medication and monitor health conditions (with appropriate training).
• Encourage independence and well-being in clients.
• Maintain accurate records and report any changes in a client’s condition.

Requirements

Essential:

• Minimum 6 months of care experience in the UK.
• Prior experience in domiciliary care or a similar role.
• A caring and compassionate nature.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Female applicants only (as specified by the employer).

Desirable:

• SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Experience in elderly care and support.
