Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related analytical field
  • Strong experience with data analytics, performance monitoring, and visualisation tools
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to develop a data-driven team culture

  • Experience using SQL, R, or SPSS for data interpretation and modelling

Salary Details

This role offers a competitive Band 8a salary of £55,690 – £62,682 per annum (pro rata for part-time), reflecting the importance and expertise required in driving data excellence.

About the Role

As the East Genomics Data and Performance Lead, you’ll turn complex data into powerful insights that directly shape how care is delivered across the region. Working with East Genomics, which supports over nine million people across the East Midlands and East of England, you’ll help deliver world-class genomic testing and research.

Your work will drive smarter decision-making, enhance patient pathways, and strengthen collaboration between scientists and clinicians. You’ll lead a team of analysts, ensure data quality, and build tools that visualise and communicate progress across NHS partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on using data to tell meaningful stories and drive service transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead data strategies that support East Genomics’ operational and research goals
  • Oversee data visualisation projects to make genomic insights accessible and actionable
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance to maintain confidence and regulatory standards
  • Produce high-quality reports for stakeholders and statutory bodies to guide decision-making
  • Coach and mentor data professionals to foster a culture of excellence and innovation
  • Collaborate across departments to embed a data-first approach that supports long-term improvements
