Requirements

  • Degree in an IT-related subject or extensive hands-on experience
  • Solid grasp of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and later
  • Good communicator with an eye for detail and structure
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to manage and translate data into insights that support critical care delivery
  • Knowledge of Power BI and supplier admin tools (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary Details

The role pays £37,338 to £44,962 annually, based on experience and NHS pay banding.

About the Role

This is where analysis meets life-saving decisions. In this role, you’ll help unlock the potential inside clinical information systems—spotting patterns, shaping reports, and giving frontline staff the kind of insights that lead to better patient care.

You’ll be based in Exeter, with a flexible hybrid setup that includes 2 to 3 days in the office and occasional travel to other Trust sites. It’s a close-knit team with a collaborative spirit, so your voice will count in shaping projects and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and extract clinical data to support reports and patient safety reviews
  • Shape system configurations and manage access controls for user safety
  • Support and train team members through documentation and hands-on support
  • Collaborate across audit, clinical, and operational teams to meet local and national targets
  • Communicate insights clearly through dashboards, reports, and visual tools
  • Keep documentation current and easy to follow so processes are smooth and reliable
