  • Educated to NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Confident in Microsoft Word, Excel, iPortal, Careflow, and Intranet
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary Details

This role offers a salary between £27,485 and £30,162 per year, in line with NHS pay scales.

About the Role

The Endoscopy Deputy Waiting List Manager will take on a vital role in supporting the Endoscopy Booking Team. Day-to-day, this involves overseeing the Endoscopy Booking Office and reception teams across Royal Stoke and County sites. By mentoring less experienced staff, maintaining efficient rotas, and ensuring smooth waiting list management, you’ll be helping patients get timely, high-quality care.

You’ll deputise for the Endoscopy Operational Services Manager and provide cross cover for the Endoscopy Utilisation Coordinator. With a focus on cancer targets, data quality, and governance, you’ll be right at the heart of keeping services on track. This role isn’t just about systems and processes, it’s about making a real difference to patients and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise administrative and clerical staff to ensure continuity of service
  • Provide training and mentoring that helps junior staff grow in confidence
  • Manage staff rotas, payroll, absence records, and appraisals with accuracy
  • Lead on 2WW Cancer Targets, keeping services compliant and effective
  • Oversee data quality and governance to maintain high service standards
  • Communicate clearly with staff at all levels to solve challenges quickly
