Job Title: IT Manager
Essential Function
The IT Manager will ensure the smooth operation of information systems within specified requirements, costs, and timelines. They will manage a team responsible for supporting applications and computing needs, supervising implementation, and maintenance.
Primary Duties
- 20%: Plan, organize, and control daily operations of assigned applications and computer systems.
- 20%: Implement new technologies in line with company strategies, overseeing project activities.
- 15%: Collaborate with business and IT partners to prioritize needs and maximize system functionality.
- 30%: Manage IT staff, including recruitment, training, and performance appraisal.
- 5%: Audit systems to ensure security and compliance with IT policies.
- 5%: Contribute to the annual department budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience as an IT manager or supervisor.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management and computer hardware/software systems.
- Ability to manage personnel with formal or informal supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
