Requirements
- Degree level or equivalent experience
- Certified training in digital learning design or tools like Articulate or Adobe
- Experience producing e-Learning content and working with varied media formats
- Understanding of NHS workflows or previous healthcare setting experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to engage all levels of staff
- Skilled in digital tools like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Articulate 360
- Creative approach to learning design and the ability to absorb new tools quickly
- Knowledge of information governance and user privacy best practices
Salary Details
The role is Band 5 on the NHS Agenda for Change pay scale, offering a salary of £37,259 to £45,356 per annum inclusive, based on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
This isn’t just about designing online courses—it’s about shaping the way NHS staff engage with technology that impacts real lives. As an EPR (Epic) e-Learning Designer, you’ll create immersive, interactive training materials using Articulate 360 and other tools to help new starters at GOSH hit the ground running.
You’ll work closely with clinical and admin teams to understand workflows, build effective learning journeys, and keep materials up to date through upgrades and system changes. You’ll also support uploading and maintaining content on the Trust’s Learning Management System (GOLD).

Key Responsibilities
- Design creative and interactive e-Learning modules that reflect current NHS workflows
- Use Articulate software to build training content and maintain consistent formatting
- Collaborate with teams to update curriculum documents post-system upgrades
- Produce exercise booklets to support practical learning in the Epic training environment
- Manage content on the GOLD Learning Management System and ensure it’s accessible
- Stay aligned with best practices in digital learning and contribute to innovation
