About the Opportunity:
As a Principal Frontend Engineer at 31st Union, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the frontend game systems for their flagship live service titles. You will lead the development of robust and high-performance pipelines and runtimes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the seamless integration of frontend systems across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of frontend game systems for AAA multiplatform live service titles.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Analytics teams to support required segments and experiments.
- Partner with the shared technology team to ensure project requirements are met on schedule.
- Direct first-party engagement on frontend systems, in support of cross-platform entitlements.
- Conduct scale and availability testing for frontend systems and maximize development freedom for design partners.
- Model best practices and provide guidance to programmers as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in AAA cross-platform Live Services games.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in Frontend systems for AAA cross-platform Live Services games.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine, including core object model, module system, and core frameworks.
- Strong command of software patterns and principles for maintainable and debuggable systems.
- Fluency in C++ and ability to debug and optimize complex systems.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is desired.
