Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Northeast Community Therapy Team. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered therapy services within a multidisciplinary team, supporting patient care across various settings in the locality.

Main Duties

  • Deliver holistic, person-centered care in the community.
  • Support qualified therapists (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists) in high-standard therapy interventions.
  • Conduct screening assessments and treatment programs as per agreed protocols.
  • Manage a delegated caseload under therapist supervision.
  • Ensure safe practice within a competency framework.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

  • Literacy and numeracy grade 4-9 (A-C)
  • 3 A-Levels or equivalent level 3 qualifications in Health and Science
  • Assistant Practitioner Level 5 course modules or willingness to commence in the first year
  • Understanding of rehabilitation principles

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Therapy intervention knowledge through training or healthcare experience
  • Ability to work independently on agreed protocols
  • Organisational skills to manage caseloads
  • Accurate and legible patient and therapy notes entries

Experience:

  • Clinical setting experience
  • Delivery of personal and clinical care
