Job Description
Huntress is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join their team remotely from anywhere within the US and Canada. The successful candidate will lead a team of software engineers in building a Managed Security platform aimed at enhancing the security of small and medium-sized businesses. They will collaborate closely with various teams to develop innovative solutions that set industry standards and improve user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a diverse team of engineers, fostering collaboration, creativity, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to influence strategy, define roadmaps, and ensure execution aligns with quality standards.
  • Participate in technical design and implementation, driving software quality and timely delivery.
  • Set clear expectations and goals for team excellence, driving performance improvements at both team and individual levels.
  • Ensure code quality and test coverage through proper code reviews and testing procedures.
  • Use a servant-leadership mindset to support engineers and engineering managers in delivering high-quality software promptly.
  • Drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level.
  • Lead with transparency, challenging assumptions, and maintaining integrity.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in managing and mentoring software engineers.
  • Proficiency in different software development methodologies such as plan-build-ship, scrum, and kanban.
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to grasp new software architecture and technology quickly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across teams.

Duration and Location
This is a full-time, remote position available anywhere within the US and Canada.

Compensation
Base salary ranges from $190,000 to $220,000, with additional bonuses and equity.
