Fieldbay is looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Female Support Workers at Ty Seren in Pontypool. Job Details

  • Location: Ty Seren, Crumlin, NP11 5BN
  • Shifts: Full-time (42 hours per week) and part-time hours available (Monday to Sunday on a rota basis)
  • Pay Rate: £11.44 – £12.00 per hour (dependent on qualifications)
  • Requirements: Female applicants only under an exemption from the Equality Act 2010 – Section 9 – Part 1 (A) as a genuine occupational requirement. Must hold a current UK driving license and be able to drive a manual car.

  • Supporting Adults: Assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, ABI, and mental health needs.
  • Empowering Service Users: Help individuals achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
  • Activity Involvement: Engage in activities like cooking, art, music, movie nights, and outings.
  • Practical Support: Manage medication, shopping, health needs, hygiene, and ensure a safe environment.
  • Consistent Care: Follow procedures to provide reliable and safe care.

  • Education: Good general education.
  • Personal Qualities: Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, and a passion to make a difference.
  • Commitment: Dedication to the home’s aims and objectives and a willingness to undertake training and development.
  • Compliance: Satisfactory Police Check and commitment to Equal Opportunities.

Desirable Skills

  • Qualifications: QCF Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a social care setting.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory frameworks and confident IT skills.
