Salary Details

This is a permanent, Annex 21 Band 4 position offering 26,928 to 29,551 per year, with full access to NHS benefits and in-house training.

About the Role

As a Footcare Practitioner, you’ll be the first point of contact for many patients living with diabetes. From routine foot checks to lifestyle advice, your job will directly reduce complications and support early interventions. Working closely with podiatrists, nurses, and medical staff, you’ll deliver essential diabetic foot assessments that help patients stay active and independent.

This is more than a clinical role—it’s about impactful work in real communities. You’ll take part in a training programme and shadow experienced practitioners while building your confidence and skills. Expect to work across varied settings, including hospitals and community clinics, where every visit adds value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diabetic foot assessments to identify risks early
  • Provide basic observations and assist with blood testing
  • Help signpost patients to the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Deliver health education that promotes long-term wellbeing
  • Support the development of the foot care pathway locally
  • Keep accurate records and uphold clinical safety standards
