Summary Description:
Our 10-week Summer Internship Program has been enriching students’ experiences for over 40 years. Designed to expose students to philanthropy and the not-for-profit sector, the program provides a learning and development experience with varied assignments across departments. Weekly learning sessions include meetings with senior foundation staff, networking opportunities, and career planning discussions.
Positions are available in program (grant making) and operations departments, including Communications, People & Culture, Facilities, Information Management, Investments, and IT.
The internship program runs from June 3, 2024, to August 9, 2024. We operate on a hybrid working model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote/virtual, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM (35-hour work week).

Recruitment Process:
The first step is a video interview with someone from our Talent Acquisition department. If selected as a finalist, candidates must provide:
- Confirmation of receiving need-based financial aid
- Copy of the most current unofficial transcript
- Two professional references
Eligibility Requirements:
To serve students in the greater NYC community, we emphasize learning opportunities and building professional skills. Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Currently enrolled in college as a full-time rising junior/senior
- Permanent residents of the New York tri-state area
- Receive needs-based financial aid
- Maintain a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Commit to a full-time schedule for the program (10 weeks; 35 hrs/week)
- Able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote per week) for the duration of the program
Qualifications:
We welcome applicants of ALL majors with:
- Demonstrated leadership and an interest in social justice
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Sheets, Docs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in the work of nonprofit organizations and foundations
Salary:
This is a competitively paid internship. Interns are paid $38.50 an hour.

Interns are not eligible for full-time staff benefits. Interns will receive a full summary of benefits on their first day of work during orientation.
