Requirements
- HCPC registered or working towards registration
- Placement or NHS experience in a patient care setting
- Strong communication skills to work with MDTs and service users alike
- Good clinical understanding of NHS care delivery
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Audit or project experience during training or clinical work

The salary band for this post sits between 29,970 and 36,483 per year, aligned with NHS Agenda for Change Band 5 pay structure.
About the Role
This post is perfect for someone looking to build a meaningful foundation in dietetics. You’ll rotate across key specialisms like renal care, diabetes, nutrition support, and paediatrics, with time in both inpatient and outpatient environments. They’ll support you every step, with a dedicated AHP preceptorship that helps you transition from graduate to confident practitioner.
You won’t just deliver care. You’ll educate, support change, and make a visible difference in how patients manage their conditions through nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised nutrition advice that improves patient health outcomes
- Provide support across hospital wards, clinics and community settings
- Take part in group education sessions for patients and local communities
- Mentor and train students and colleagues as part of your wider impact
- Contribute to service improvement and clinical audits for better care delivery
