Requirements
- Experience as a Health Care Support Worker or similar role
- Able to maintain dignity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Confidence in working with acutely ill patients and post-op care
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary ward
- Passionate about providing high-quality, holistic care
- Welsh language is desirable, though not required

- Starting from £23,970 per annum, depending on hours worked

About the Role
On Ward 3, no two days are the same. This specialist vascular ward sees patients through the most vulnerable parts of their journey — pre-op, post-op, and through complex rehabilitation.
As a Health Care Assistant, you’ll assist the nursing team with everything from wound care to patient monitoring. You’ll provide emotional support, practical care, and the reassurance that someone’s always there.
You’ll be hands-on with patients recovering from Peripheral Arterial Disease and major surgery. It’s intense, yes, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. This is one of those UK job opportunities where your impact is felt in real time.

Key Responsibilities
- Support registered nurses in delivering daily personal and clinical care
- Assist patients with mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Encourage patient independence and participation in recovery
- Maintain safety, privacy, and respect at all times
- Help create a calm and healing atmosphere for patients and families
- Uphold infection control, safeguarding, and health and safety policies
