Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and proactive Health Care Assistant to join the Rapid Intervention Team within the Community Urgent Care Service. This service responds to patients requiring urgent assessments within the community, serving the city of Wolverhampton. The team works with patients in their homes to avoid hospital admission during acute episodes of ill health and provides urgent response to service users with telecare needs.

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Support clinicians in assessments by undertaking clinical and therapeutic procedures such as taking clinical observations, obtaining samples, catheter care, and venepuncture.
  • Respond to telecare alarms, including supporting patients who have fallen without injury and/or where there is a concern for welfare.
  • Provide a varied and interesting day with opportunities to learn new skills and treat people in their homes.

Person Specification

Education:

  • NVQ Level 3 (Essential)
